Our reproduction is based on a later 18th century (c. 1760-1765) by Godfridus Adrianus Rottenburgh, Brussels, owned by the Belgian flutist Barthold Kuijken.

With its most important A=415 hz joint, Kuijken performed late Baroque, Rococo, and early Classical repertoire, with a particular focus on mid-18th-century music by Bach, Telemann, Quantz, and C. P. E. Bach.

With its A=430 hz corps de rechange, it covers early Classical repertoire of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, including works by Mozart, Haydn, and early Beethoven.

The original was made of boxwood, stained and finished with varnish, but our reproduction is in original finish.
