Baroque clarinet in D with two keys (register and A key), representing the second generation from 1740–1750, made by J. G. Zenker. The original instrument is housed in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nuremberg.

- The keys are casted from brass, steel springs with leather pads.
- It is designed to be used with a standard Bb clarinet mouthpiece. The barrel receiver is tailored for modern Bb mouthpiece, including the Vandoren B45.
- Additionally, accessories such as a plush lined protective case, extra set of pads, cleaning cloth, fingering chart are provided.
The Baroque clarinet was introduced to London around the mid-18th century by German musicians performing in Handel’s orchestra. Its bright tone led to it being called a “mock trumpet,” and composers typically wrote for it from middle C upwards.
