• G Clarinet - J.H. Ebble White

This 6-key G (Sol) clarinet draws inspiration from the craftsmanship of J.H. Ebble White, a London-based maker. A rare member of the early clarinet family, historically associated more with regional and transitional instrument use than standard Classical orchestral practice.

In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, clarinet writing in Viennese and Central European Harmoniemusik was flexible, allowing parts to be adapted across different clarinet sizes, including smaller and less common instruments. Composers such as Franz Krommer and their contemporaries wrote extensively for wind ensembles where clarinet parts were often transposed depending on available instruments.
