Our reproduction is based on the original Godfridus Adrianus Rottenburgh flute (Brussels, 1709–1790), formerly owned by Belgian flutist Barthold Kuijken. Kuijken’s performances and recordings helped define modern Baroque flute practice.
The original was made of boxwood, stained and finished with varnish, but our reproduction is crafted in olive wood.
