Inspired by the Robert Sidney Pratten model, this Hakam Din flute is an exceptional choice for beginner seeking strong projection and a powerful, responsive tone.
The flute is handcrafted with a precisely made large bore measuring down to 13 mm, along with a carefully undercut embouchure measuring 13 mm in width. Large sized tone holes, including a 9 mm F# tone hole, are proportioned for clear response and strong projection.
The headjoint is brass-lined with a fixed stopper. The flute is tuned to modern concert pitch at A=440–442 Hz, with a 10 mm tuning-slide opening.
Crafted from carefully selected cocobolo wood, the rings are individually hand-crafted from imitation Ivory, adding a distinctive contrast and elegant appearance while giving the instrument an added sense of craftsmanship and value.
The flute comes complete with a fingering chart, care instructions, a care kit and a case.
