This Bb (Sib) clarinet represents an early variant featuring a ringless, cross fingering upper-joint design, tuned to high pitch (Old Philharmonic, approximately A=456 Hz), a pitch standard used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and still actively used in folk music for outdoor performances, weddings, processions, and traditional folk ensembles.
